Class Evaluation
Things I liked about this class: As always, walking into this class room every other morning, knowing that Mr. Haymore is at the door waiting to greet us and saying good morning to him with that big smile on his face that makes me want to smile. I also liked having people in this class that I felt comfortable asking for help.
Things I did not like about this class: Failing the assessments. The create and explore performace tasks were so frustrating.
Recommendations for improving this class: I think that it would be better if students could focus more on the basics of computer science/coding because that's what will mostly be on the AP test so that they can do better.
Highlights for me in this class: Obviously I will miss Mr. Haymore a lot because he is one of the few teachers I have met in my life that I feel genuinely cares about his students and I'll miss his positive attitude, and his laugh and when ever he'd say my name it would make me smile. I hope to still keep in contact with him somehow.
I do think I did my best in this class because I actually tried when I was in this classroom.
I am definitely reading my life planning goals journal everyday because I want to keep reminding myself what my goals are so I don't forget and I actually achieve them.
I am committed to being a CTR person because I don't want to be the kind of person that chooses the wrong, I want to surround myself around the people that only choose the right because I don't want to have a failed future.

Class Evaluation
1. Things that I like about this class: First and foremost, My favorite teacher Mr. Haymore. I liked starting out my mornings with him on even block schedule. I liked the assignments he gave us like computer science innovations posts, the Arete posts, and working with partners on the lesson worksheets.
2. Things I did not like about this class: Where I was seated for most of the semester, and I hated doing presentations. I don't like talking in front of huge groups of people, because I get nervous, flustered, and I start stuttering. I was okay with the small group presentation for the flash talk project, I felt comfortable doing that. I just don't feel comfortable talking in front of the whole class, hopefully that will change next semester. I don't mind presenting just in front of Mr. Haymore because I can do that with confidence but I can't do it with the whole class. I also hate the drafting method I get so much anxiety.
3. Recommendations for improving class: Besides less presentations, none. I would enjoy writing in our life planning journals in class again please. And I would also like for us to have ctr card checks more often. Study guides for our assessments would be helpful. Everything else is just perfect.
4. Highlight for me in this class: Just listening to Mr. Haymore explain the lesson to us. Another highlight was that the class may have started out as challenging but as time went by I became more into it and it got easier so I'm glad.
5. I think I almost did my best in this class. I could have studied more for my assessments and completed some assignments that I missed out on. Next semester I will put my all into it.
6. To qualify for college credit I will study diligently for the test that we will be submitting to the college board at the end of the year.
7. Of course I am reading my life planning goals for at least five minutes daily. I have missed out on reporting but I'll have to get back on that. I always add a victory each time I accomplish a goal. I really want to write at least 200 goals by the end of the next semester.
8. I am so committed to being a CTR person. I am working hard to keep my grades up, I am hoping to get better at being nicer to the people that surround me, I am hoping to clean out my circle of friends and be involved with people that are only willing to choose the right, and lastly I am determined to stay away from the boys who don't benefit me and will lead me to choose the wrong because I know I don't deserve that.

Innovation
Bionic plants
These bionic plants have carbon-nanotube-based nanoparticles in their leaves that give off infrared light and are sensitive to the presence of nitroaromatics, and key components of several explosives.
This innovation can impact anyone since it can detect explosives, these plants are able to even save a life whether it's human life or wild life.

Internet Innovations
"The internet changes the world"
E-commerce
Electronic commerce is how we buy things online.
The launch of amazon and ebay was in 1995. The two sites would come to define the web in the 1990's and continue to be leading sellers of goods online. Because of electronic commerce, whatever you can buy in a store, you can buy online. This impacts tons of different people in many ways. For example if you're too lazy to go all the way to the nearest best buy you can just order something online. Problems that this innovation solves everyday is that now with just a few clicks, we can not only find the best prices for travel, but also book our flight, hotel room, or renter car without any complications. I really like this innovation because when I am in need of items e-commerce has made life so much easier.

Computer Science Innovations
Augmented-Reality Helmet Could Give Cyclists Extra Eyes on the Road
This helmet gives cyclists a 360 degree view of the road. Cars have a rear view mirror, and now cyclists will be able to ride a bike and they can have the same feature that the car has but instead with the helmet. In addition, the helmet has a GPS navigator.
This helmet can impact anyone, even people who don't ride bikes.
This innovation will solve the problems that cyclists face on the road. It will help prevent accidents.

Ben Carson
Ben is a neurosurgeon and politician. He worked in John Hopkins Hospital. He performed over 400 surgeries a year.
He graduated from Yale University and then went on to the University of Michigan Medical School.
Obviously technology impacted his experience since Medical School is not just something you go through hands on, it comes with many technological resources.
I think what is incredible about this man is his education specifically as a Surgeon. I would say I don't like his homophobic opinions.
