               A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it."
Dr. Ben Carson

I think some people may have different opinions about this because it isn't always so easy to control poverty.

             "Enthusiasm makes the difference"
                              Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

This means that whatever it is that you're doing, only enthusiasm will make a change. For example if you are doing something you are not interested in, enthusiasm will change it and make it more preferable to keep working on.

"It's not about how to achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma (destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you."

                                                        Dr. Randy Pausch

I think this means that you don't really have to try to achieve your dreams by itself. Because the way you lead your life will decide and make sure that your dreams come true. For example if your dream is to be on the voice some day then the best thing to do would be to decide to never hang around drug addicts because they will most likely pressure you and will ruin your voice chords.

"Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education"

I think this means that if you want true education you need to have intelligence and you need to have a personality and a mentality. For example a person that isn't smart and has negative character traits will never reach a true education.
