Duties and responsibilities:Their aim is to relieve pain, increase mobility and to get patients back to full health and movement. Treatment involves using the hands to apply a specific force to adjust the joints of the body. Chiropractors treat chronic and acute conditions which include back, shoulder and neck problems and joint, posture and muscle issues, as well as sports injuries.
Salary: $134,190
Education: Four years of premedical undergraduate college education, including courses in biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, psychology and related lab work. Once accepted into an accredited chiropractic college, the requirements become even more demanding — four to five academic years of professional study are the standard. Because of the hands-on nature of chiropractic, and the intricate adjusting techniques, a significant portion of time is spent in clinical training.
I would like to be one because I suffer from back pain and I would like to help others that are going through the same situation as me.
