Duties and Responsibilities:
Acupuncture is a
traditional Chinese medical art practiced for more than 5,000 years. It
involves inserting fine needles at points on the body's surface to influence
physiological functions. Acupuncture practitioners treat a wide range of
physical and psychological conditions and provide support for patients with
chronic diseases.
Salary: An Acupuncturist can get wages between $56,000
and $84,000 based on tenure and industry expertise. Acupuncturists can receive
wages of Seventy Seven Thousand Three Hundred dollars each year.
Education: Most licensed acupuncturists hold master's degrees or
post-baccalaureate certificates from schools accredited by the Accreditation
Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Graduates
must pass the certification exam offered by NCCAOM and fulfill any additional
state licensing requirements.
Reflection: I would not like to be one because just by looking at it i feel pain. Now just imagine if i had to do it another person. I would not like to cause pain to others. It's like causing pain to myself. And i am usually okay with hurting people but only if they cause me emotional/physical pain. If not, then you and i are okay :)
